Your wellbeing is important which is why Studentsafe provides cover for medical and related expenses.
But before you make an appointment for check-ups related to your health, it’s important to understand what is and isn’t covered under your policy.
Studentsafe does not provide cover for certain medical tests listed as Exclusions under Section 1: Medical and Related Expenses as set out below:
9. Health screening, medical and dentals reviews or vaccinations.
12. (a) Routine smear tests.
By health screening, we refer to precautionary tests when you have no symptoms that need to be investigated. This includes but is not limited to:
• Annual check-ups;
• Routine health exams, including smear tests;
• Testing for Covid-19 if you aren’t displaying any symptoms; and
• Proving a clean bill of health for visa or immigration purposes.
If you are injured or sick during your period of insurance and need to be checked by a medical practitioner, this may be covered under your policy. Otherwise, health screenings remain excluded under the policy.
Terms, conditions, limits, sub-limits and exclusions apply and these are set out in the Policy Wording.
